Anonymous video chat: know the privacy limits

Guest access lets you start without an account. It does not make you untraceable or prevent the person you meet from recording the call.

Open chat · 18+ only

Guest access is not complete anonymity

You can join random chat without signing in or providing a phone number. Rulxo still uses session identifiers and connection information to operate matchmaking, limit abuse and handle reports. Profiles, social handles and friendship data may be stored when you use those features.

What the other person can learn

Your face, voice, background and anything you say can identify you. Direct WebRTC connections can expose network addresses to peers. TURN fallback helps connections succeed; Rulxo does not promise every call is relay-only or that your IP address is hidden.

Reduce accidental disclosure

Use a neutral display name and check your camera frame for documents, screens and location clues. Preview your setup in Look Check. Background blur in Magic Wand is a visual effect that may miss objects; physically removing sensitive items is more reliable.

Understand encryption and recording

WebRTC encrypts media in transit, including media sent through TURN. Text and signaling pass through the Rulxo server. Encryption cannot stop a participant taking screenshots or recording received media. Optional local safety analysis cannot certify someone’s identity or intentions.

Questions before you start

Do I need to register?

No account is required for guest random chat. Optional sign-in supports account features.

Can another participant record me?

Yes. Rulxo cannot prevent recording or screenshots on another device.

Does clearing my browser erase server records?

No. It removes local information, but server-held account and moderation records require operator review. See the privacy policy for details.
